Gary Somerville Trophy

Competition is open to Main and Associate Register dogs and bitches in the Open Class.

The awards are competed for over the State Titles Weekend, which encompasses the trial conducted by Eastern Suburbs Dog Training Club held on Saturday 29th September 2018 , the trial conducted by Penrith Kennel and Obedience Club held on Sunday 30th September 2018  and the NSW Obedience State Titles held on Monday 1st October 2018 .

Competitors must enter each trial in the Open class to be eligible for this award.

An exhibit with a qualifying score in the trial will have precedence over exhibits with non-qualifying scores. For example, all exhibits which have qualified in all three trials will be placed ahead of any exhibits which have qualified in only two trials.

The competitor’s scores from the heeling exercise in the Open class from the three trials will be added to give an aggregate score.

The highest aggregate score in heeling from the three trials will be the winner.

In the event of a tied score the winner will be decided by a heeling run off judged by a Utility class judge.

There are no entry forms – all eligible dogs are deemed to have entered.

There are no entry fees.
